With 32 years in practice, Mahmood is a seasoned neonatologist and expert witness specializing in neonatology, perinatal medicine, and neonatal intensive care. He holds an MD from Ain Shams University and advanced training from prestigious institutions including Drexel University and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. An associate professor and medical director, Mahmood has extensive experience in birth trauma, neonatal injuries, and congenital malformations. Board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, he has been deposed/testified 10 times in the last 4 years.

Mahmood has more than 25 years as a medical expert. He’s done 100s of cases involving asphyxia, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and neonatal trauma and has been in more than 15 depositions and trials.

He has been working as a locum neonatologist in NICUs of all sizes ranging from level 4 to regular nursery for more than 30 years.
